"All the evil in the world, the wickeness and sin, can never sink your soul's fair craft, unless you let it in."

Tempation enters through our mind gate, but we can refuse and dispel thoughts of tempation through the Power of Christ that dwells within us. Ask Him to rule your heart and mind, ask Him to delete negative thoughts that would destroy you, in the Name of Jesus.

Jesus was tempted too, in the wilderness, but He deflected each temptation by quoting God's Word (Mtt 4:1-3, Lk 4:2) Here are some scriptures below pertaining to tempation:

Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because when he has been tried, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers."

Author of temptation is the “temptor.”

Jesus was tested by the “temptor” (in the desert Mtt 4:1-3, Luke 4:2

"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." (Matt 26:41)

For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (Heb 4:15)

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. ( I Corinthians 10:13)

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Mtt 6:13) NIV

Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of temptation they fall away. (Lk 8:13)

The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,  II Pet 2:9

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
EPH 6:11

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade - kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."  I Peter 1:3-8
